Where some sites dip their toes into the shallow end of filming location highlights, SCENE HOUNDS strives for absolute completeness. We watch and scrutinise beloved titles, deploying geomapping expertise to find and document every location used for filming in order of appearance. As advocates for filming location tourism, our blog serves to bring you the history, context and practical visiting information for these sites, helping you to understand the spot, and recreate the shot.

Firstly, f*** the green screen: real locations bring a magic to the shot that cannot be replicated by computerised backdrops. Secondly, more tourists than ever are factoring filming location visits into their trip itineraries, and we want to give the gift of variety: for every viral and well-visited spot, there are typically 10 that are more interesting, less crowded and equal in beauty.

Put simply, this is a passion project, and not a full-time job. Our biggest strength is completeness of titles, but our biggest weakness is volume of titles. We would love a longer list of titles, but the biggest labour is research. You can join the action by feeding location hints through via the contact form at the bottom of each page!
